Hotel changed hands about 3 months ago and the new owner is in the process of updating/refurbishing it. We booked a family room: a generous size, with high ceilings and an ensuite bathroom with large, walk in shower. Beds were comfortable, carpet new and clean, and the decor was fresh - we were the second occupants since redecoration. Books to read in the fireplace. Lovely garden, good wifi and car park at the rear. Currently, access is via an outside keysafe, slightly unconventional, but apparently an overhang from the previous owner which is shortly to change. Owner is a friendly guy who’s making big changes - we wish him all the best! Worried because I’d read some awful reviews after booking, but these date from the previous ownership. We’d happily come here again.
