Great historic hotel with a wonderful staff. My only complaint was the tiny outdated bathroom. I realize this is all they could put in that space but it would have been nice if it were bigger. It is undoubtedly reflected in their lower rates for a downtown hotel compared to other properties so we accepted it. Otherwise a nice hotel

Dear Stephen, Thank you for sharing your feedback and for highlighting our historic character and attentive team. We are delighted to know your overall stay was enjoyable. We apologize that the bathroom size did not meet your expectations. As a landmark property, we are committed to balancing modern comfort with preserving our historic charm, and we continuously review thoughtful enhancements to elevate the guest experience while maintaining the building’s unique character. We appreciate your perspective and the context you provided, and we are grateful you chose to stay with us downtown. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Francis Marion Hotel. Sincerely, Francis Marion Hotel Guest Relations

Great location and atmosphere and decorations and staff. Roof top bar is so fun! Only issue was not having chairs or sofa in the room to sit on. But the huge windows overlooking the river were awesome!

Thank you so much for the great review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the location, atmosphere, décor, and our team. The rooftop bar really is such a fun spot, and those river views from the oversized windows are hard to beat! We do appreciate the feedback regarding additional seating in the room and will definitely keep that in mind as we continue improving the guest experience. Hope we get to welcome you back again soon!
