Nice clean room, freshly painted and a comfortable bed. The property is a little out of town and so was quiet and peaceful. Staff were just lovely, and provided a breakfast pack for next morning. Would definitely stay again.

Check out time before 10:00 at lease but cleaning staff they have came at 9:40 and knock the door !

Perfect location to relax, recharge and refocus. Comfortable bed, clean and full kitchen. Will definitely return.

Not much to complain about the host clearly thought about everything and paid attention to even the small details. The location was amazing, and the apartment was surprisingly spacious for the area. Everything was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. I rarely leave reviews, but since this is a new property, I felt it deserved one. The owner was extremely helpful and made sure everything was sorted. I had some issues with the webpage during check-in, and he personally contacted me to make sure I got in without any problems.

Excellent accueil par notre h?te dans une maison à la déco singulière, originale et hétéroclite. Endroit très calme. Les chambres et salle de bain étaient propres. Rien à redire. Table du petit déjeuner très jolie avec de la vaisselle ancienne mais petit déjeuner minimaliste. Je trouve que le prix demandé était un peu élevé.

we didn't stay but went for a birthday meal. The service was average. We ordered our meals and 1 person asked for peas and carrots instead of broccoli and mange tout as they didn't like mange tout. The meals all came with peas only, when asked about the carrots we were told there wasn't any, the person having the broccoli and mange tout only got broccoli ( which had to be sent back as it was freezing) - there was no mange tout.!!!! service was slow and the waitress not very communicative - weren't told soup of the day or the cheesecake of the day. One person asked for coffee and was later told 'sorry we have run out of coffee beans! I think that the machine had been switched off for the night and they couldn't be bothered switching it back on! Food was ok despite their claim 'While we don’t take ourselves too seriously at The Bal, we do take what goes on our plates very seriously indeed. Our Chef, Elaine Crosby, produces food that satisfies the eye, palate and wallet - all freshly cooked to order. So, if you’re looking for proper pub grub done with proper care, consideration and flair, you’ll know to book at The Balcomie.
