Free street parking after 6pm, decent gym and laundry facilities avaiable for free. Would stay again if under $150

This is a beautiful historic inn. Shout out to Sandra, Brett and Veronica in the spa which is peaceful and well stocked. Robes are grubby looking but very warm whuch was needed. There was a scheduling mix up but the staff worked quickly to compensate for the inconveience. The check in desk was often busy. Lots of standing around and trying to fill out forms in a flimsy folder. Better to have a clip board. Spa was very clean. In the hotel, I saw room service trays and cleaning cloths left out. The room itself was clean and small but the desk was seriously scuffed. Not expected given such an expensive room. Nice size closet. Restaurants were all good but pricey. And it was not always clear which places were open. Signage in the lobby would help. The concierge desk had a trainee and was the one who did nit actually confirm our spa appointments correctly. We had booked a hike which was a definite highlight with Cooper. We also enjoyed the history tour. No good shuttle arrangements given we arrived by train. It ended up being $150 one way to get to Clifton Forge. The 260th birthday daily celebration was a treat with live pianomusic

My God, what can I say? It was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. the hotel is just amazing with great touches of old Italy, so very charming, and it had EVERYTHING you can ask for. A welcome fruit platter, a great mini bar, the MOST amazing restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, that calf cheek I had for dinner blew my mind, the staff was amazing, yes, it just broke my heart to leave, I so totally recommend this wonderful historic hotel, the history is so interesting, you will not regret it. I will remember this stay for a a very long time.

We had an incredible experience for our anniversary with front desk (Johnny and his manager) going above and beyond last night to help us celebrate and feel welcome. Great recommendation and made a reservation for us at a local restaurant. Highly recommend .

The hotel is a little tricky to get to but once you’re there it’s excellent. The breakfast was some of the best I’ve had as a comp breakfast. Also Jacks Stacks next door is very good bbq. Really nice hotel and would stay again!

Most amazing experience ever! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Nothing was too much. Chaitanya, Zellu and Naz provided us with everything we needed and even things we didn't think we needed.
