I wouldn’t recommend this hotel anyone, I stayed at this hotel recently and paid ￡130 for a night but it was very disappointed with the condition of the room and the way my concerns were handled. I went into the shower and only realised after I was already wet that there was no shampoo provided in the dispenser/tray. This was a basic amenity that should have been checked before the room was given to guests. The room itself was also not properly maintained. There were spider webs around the walls and corners, and the walls had multiple visible cracks, making the room feel neglected and unclean. What made the experience worse was the response from reception. I raised these issues politely, but there was no apology or concern shown at all. I was simply told they could give me a bottle of shampoo to take back to the room. The lack of customer care and professionalism was extremely disappointing. For the price paid, I expected much better standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet even basic expectations

Second time staying at the Eagle & Child, though I’ve eaten drank there at least once a year for the last 10 years or so. Rooms are comfortable and homely. Staff friendly. Great selection of beers in the bar and good traditional English pub grub - just what you need after a day out on the fells.

Other than the rooms being small, the stay was good! Pool was nice. It was also in a convenient location!

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to unwind. I also appreciated the ample parking facilities, which made things very convenient for those traveling by car. However, one downside is that there are no nearby commercial centers, so finding food or groceries requires some planning or travel. Additionally, while breakfast was available, the options were somewhat limited and could definitely be improved. Overall, it’s a good option for a quiet and comfortable stay, especially if you don’t mind being a bit far from shops and dining option

Perfectly adequate. Friendly staff. I didn’t use the bar or restaurant. I was only using the hotel to sleep in but would recommend it. Although, obviously it is an older hotel (which is part of its charm) so they have to battle with old fittings etc

Dieser Parador ist der ?kleine? Bruder des Hauptparadors bei der Kathedrale. Die Einrichtung ist ?klassisch Parador?, mit vielen Bildern und Gegenst?nden aus der Vergangenheit. Zimmer sind nicht sehr gross, aber praktisch eingerichtet mit guten Betten. Badezimmer eher klein als normal in den Paradores, aber auch hier genügend für eine Benutzung. Frühstücksbuffet ist Parador Standard mit verschiedenen Broten, Fleisch, K?se und süssem Geb?ck. Eierspeisen auf Bestellung. Nachschub klappt. Der Parador hat keine eigenen Parkpl?tze, jedoch sind in der Umgebung genügend ?ffentliche Parkpl?tze verfügbar. Ausser dem Frühstück hat der Parador keine gastronomischen Angebote, diese sind im rund 400m entfernten Hauptparador verfügbar. Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Internet ziemlich stabil, es reicht zum streamen.

Clean room, just needed the shower updating as it leaked badly over the bath through the shower screen and on to the floor (room 116). Really lovely position overlooking the beach. We stayed for one night and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, which was made even better by the helpful and friendly staff. My husband is a celiac and required gluten free food. They sorted everything for him and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back! Thank you ??
