Oue room was clean and ready upon arrival. However, the air conditioning was inadequate for the room. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast service is quite limited for hot items

Absolutely blown away by the newly refurbished Hotel Allen! The venue looks fantastic, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient, and the meal sizes were spot on — great value all round. What impressed me most though was how well the team handled their first week of trade. In Townsville, we see it all the time when a new place opens — everyone rushes there at once, staff struggle to keep up with the sudden influx, people have bad experiences, and unfortunately they don’t come back. That absolutely was not the case here. The staff at Hotel Allen were organised, welcoming, and handled the busy atmosphere brilliantly. It’s clear a lot of effort has gone into both the refurbishment and the customer experience. Outstanding first week of trade — keep up the great work!

It is advised that the distance from the rooms to the restaurant is bit far. The car driving passage from the main gate may cause unnecessary accidents to your guests coming from the far south. People sometimes do not check when they get out from their rooms to the restaurant if cars coming from the main gate.

Great location, great breakfast offer, wellness

The team at Oxford was extremely helpful for my son and I. We are from out of state and not familiar with the area and the staff was so helpful in helping us get around the area
